BERE REGIS TIMETABLE 1949 The timetables for all of the routes - part thirteen |
Routes 32 - 33 - 34 - 35 |
The final four routes, with the 32 a seven days a week operation from Milton Abbas and Winterborne Stickland to the market town of Blandford, connecting on route with the 27 on certain days. The 33 was a market day service to Wareham, with a very generous and relaxed timing of three hours for the forward journey along a route length of about eighteen miles! 34 was a summer only Friday 'semi-excursion' service to Weymouth and lastly the 35 was a three days a week market and shoppers service to Blandford from Bere Regis, Winterborne Kingston and Bloxworth.
The development of the Bere Regis & District bus service network from 1949 to 1979 is outlined here in a chart listing the routes. A list of the operators acquired by Bere Regis & District over the years is here. Colin Miller's reminiscences of when his father drove for Bere Regis are here. The main history page for Bere Regis & District is here.
