The Brévenne is a river, a tributary of the Azergues, and which winds its way through the Monts du Lyonnais.

The valley is also home to the trunk road that leaves Lyon to the north west via Tassin and l’Arbresle, before splitting into two branches, one to Sain Bel, the other to Tarare. A road that used to be known as the RN7.

Ah, the delights of buses in 1986, when the study printed above lists  no less than nine operators serving this area,  and  gives their routes and frequencies. In 2019, 33 years later, only one of those operators – Maisonneuve Secam, remains in existence.
