SALISBURY AND DISTRICT BUS OPERATORS TIMETABLE JUNE 1949

This is the eighth page of timetables, and shows the services of Bells of Winterslow through Pitton to Salisbury.  R A Bell operated originally from Pitton to Salisbury only, from about 1921.  The business relocated (and bus route was extended) to Winterslow in 1926 after the acquisition of Knights Bus Service of Winterslow.  The latter had been founded in horse drawn days by Edwin Knight, and this was replaced by a Dennis motor bus in 1914.  After the Great War the service passed to John Malpress and then to Bells.
